Ash Brace (Spinal Hyperextension Brace) is designed to immobilize the vertebral column and maintain it in a neutral or slightly hyperextension position. It provides stabilization of the spine encourages cervical and lumbar lordosis thus relieving pressure on the anterior parts of the vertebral bodies. Designed to act on a three-point pressure principle by exerting pressure against sternum and pubis on ventral and the lumbar region on the dorsal.

Applications
- Pressure relief in osteoporotic bone collapse in the thoracic and
lumbar spine - Conservative management of vertebral bone tuberculosis
- To prevent deformity in ankylosing spondylitis
- Idiopathic hyperkyphosis of spine with chronic back pain or Scheuermann's disease
- Diskettes, intervertebral disc prolapse, or herniation

- Ethafoam covered pads provide excellent impact absorption, enhanced comfort, reduced pressure on the pubis and chest.
- The anatomical and rigid back pad provides perfect support to the back, relieves the load on the anterior vertebra.
- Both vertical bar and horizontal are malleable, can be shaped and customized as per the patient’s anatomy. It has an easy slide and screw adjustment mechanism for easy fitting and adjustment. Perfect customization offers close contoured, fitting, rigid immobilization, and enhanced comfort.
Construction
- Made out of aerodynamically shaped, telescoping, aluminum "O" section and malleable horizontal main body to form a crossbar. The knob and screw mechanism allows two-way size adjustments of the brace on the vertical side and bending of the malleable horizontal main body on the horizontal side.
- Anatomically contoured pubic and the sternal pads covered with ethafoam relieve pressure and ensure secure and comfortable fitting of the brace.
- A heavy-duty strap attached to the two lateral sides of the brace with a broad rigid back pad help in the three-point force application involving the lumbar vertebra on one side and sternal and symphysis pubis on the other side.
- Swivel sternal pad conforms to the chest and eliminates pressure on the chest.
