Featuring patented dual 3D Honeycomb and Air-Cell Beta Gel technology, the GelComfort pressure care cushion provides a new level of comfort. Dual honeycomb patterned gel creates excellent pressure distribution, dispersing pressure on areas prone to discomfort and pressure sores, such as the sacrum and coccyx in the lower spine, and through the hips and thighs. This helps to ensure good blood flow, crucial in the mitigation of pressure related issues such as pressure sores, skin tears, ulcers and bruising.
The 3D Honeycomb design redistributes weight and pressure whilst providing stability and support. Weight is more evenly distributed than with Memory Foam and many other kinds of cushion materials such as air or hybrid cushions. GelComfort prevents the build up of pressure in prone areas, ensuring that blood vessels and skin are not compressed or compacted when sitting. Extended periods of sitting in these conditions can lead to pressure sores, skin tears and ulcers.
